Not A Good Start

We started our bowling league this morning. I bowled a 121, 197, and a 129. Seriously a 197? It is not a good thing - starting off with a 149 average leaves me nowhere to go but down. LOL The game I bowled the 197 I wasn't even paying attention - the computer kept going down so we were just bowling every time it would reboot - really annoying. Next thing I know I have a 179 going in to the 10th. At least I'm not the girl who bowled a 224 today. I think we scared some of the newbies though.

It's funny when bowling a 197 is a bad thing! LOL You sound about like me - I always averaged in the 120's and 130's but had the occasional 200 game every so often. I think my highest ever was a 223. I haven't bowled in years though. :)

Sandbagging are we!! Just kidding.

The highest I ever bowled was a 175, and it was a very lucky night. I had a high handicap anyways and the other team was not happy!!

Josh just bowled a 135,with bumpers, but next season he'll be bowling with the big kids.

My husband and I had so much fun and met some really good friends on our league.

I don't think I've ever broken 100...seriously. World's Worst Bowler right here....

So I'm guessing 200's aren't good? Maybe that's why no one asks me to bowl any more :o)

your 120 scores remind me of my days in youth bowling...but a 197? not in this lifetime lol my mom was the bowler..she could break 200. i guess that bowling gene skipped all of us lol

High games are good once the season is going - but on the first day that sets your average and your handicap. In a league where we have some bowlers with really high handicaps you don't want to bowl so well at the beginning if you can't follow it through.
