Basketball

How is it that a basketball league that is supposed to have 1 practice during the week and the games held on Saturday has now turned in to a league with at least 4 games held on Sunday? If I thought it would make a difference I would complain but it won't - there is a scheduling problem in the gym - the school outranks any other activity - and this leaves me paying for at least 4 weeks that my kids won't play. UGH!

I absolutely hate things like this. It's an epidemic with kids community sports organizations world-round! My daughter's softball team that WAS NOT a traveling team and only played on Saturdays (which is why we signed her up) turned into a traveling team that plays on different, random times throughout the week. And cost 95 dollars! Nice.

I think I'd complain *again* and at least try to get some money back for the dates when the kids are missing the games.

On a Sunday. I've never heard of playing games on Sunday. I would be complaining, and try to get some of my money back, and you're more than likely right, that it won't make one bit of difference.

That stinks! Kudos to you for standing your ground and not letting them play on Sunday though!

My dd plays on the 6th grade team this year.. 3 practices though the week and then games on saturday mornings.. UNLESS one of the towns they are playing that week can't get the gym on saturday.. UGH..
At least it doesn't happen too often.. Last year in 5th grade they played 8 weeks and only had two sunday games and at least the people made them for the afternoon after AM church and before PM church so she was able to still play in them. Don't know what the games are looking like yet for this year.. The games don't start till the 1st weekend of January.

We're starting the season early this year - November - because they wanted both a fall and spring soccer season. This put basketball November-February with breaks already because of Holidays.
