I really wonder what would happen if one morning I just didn't get out of bed. I wonder if hubby would even notice. Oh wait, he would. When the kids were on 1/2 term break he woke me up to tell me I was late getting the kids up and to school. I guess that is my answer. He wouldn't let me sleep - he would wake me up and still make me do it. Payback is coming though - I got that job and I will be working on Fridays from 8-4. That will put someone else in charge of the school run. I'm still pretty sure I'll be the one to get them up and dressed and get myself out the door on time. We'll see.

women/wives/mothers are always expected to get the kids up, dressed, to school, activities, run the household whether we work or not. i usually let steve sleep in on his days off because he leaves for work at 5:30a and doesn't get home until 7p on his workdays. can't wait to see what happens when i have the surgery in dec and he's in charge lol
I'm amazed at how little my husband does & still considers it parenting. I think the house would implode if I wasn't here.
It sure is gonna be an eye opener for him LOL.....
I double dare you NOT to help him...... :)

Hey, any updates on how that worked out?
Jon totally admits that when it comes to day to day house work he might as well be a three year old most days. I guess admitting you have the problem is the first step. He would so notice if I didn't get up, but it would take a few hours. :)
Congrats on getting the job!
I have to say I'm lucky here...mine wakes up with the girls on the weekend. I'm sure he'd love to sleep in but the 3 year old won't come down with me...only Daddy. Now if I only he would have the house spotless for me all would be grand.
