Red Lobster

No, that isn't where we had dinner - that is what I look like. We went to the beach on Friday and I am fried. I am a good mommy and put sunscreen on all the children and the hubby and then sat down and relaxed and watched them play in the ocean. You would think that I would be smarter - that after years of burning and KNOWING BETTER I would put sunscreen on. Seriously though, I can not go back to England as white as I left it right? My body needs some sun, I need some evidence of my vacation!! Right? Right? Ouch - don't touch my shoulder that hurts!

I do have to say I love the coppertone spray sunscreen that stuff rocks. I am notorious for putting sunscreen on and missing huge spaces - but with the spray I can stand there and see where it hits and spray again. Kids are happy, hubby is happy, mommy is fried!

Ouch! You're the second person I know who's posted that they've done that today. I usually remember to put sunscreen on my front, but by the time I've done the kids and my husband they're all in the water and I've forgotten that my back needs doing, and presto, lobster over easy LOL.

I hate when I do that. Seems like once a year I'm dumb like that. Aloe, and more Aloe

I have yet to burn this season, thank goodness! I typically put the sunscreen on the kids, and forget about my own skin. The summer isn't over, so I still ahve some time!

Hope your vacation is going great! Sounds like it!

Quick get in a cool bath with vinegar added to the water. Doesn't necessarily smell great, but is very soothing. Takes the sting right out and eases the heat. Did you know the sooner you can get a burn to cool down the quicker it heals. Apparently the deeper levels of the epidermis continue to accumulate damage even after you are out of the sun! So, quick in the tub!

The beach sounds lovely. Too bad about the burn.

For a minute, i started craving those cheese biscuits.

Ouch! I feel your pain. One thing about the sun in AZ, I don't burn as easy as I did in CA. I blame it on the all the SMOG!!

Isn't that always the way! Although, I was a bad mommy and missed one spot on my little guy the other day. It was right around his eye, so he looked like someone punched him in the eye since it was all red around it! AACCK!
